Integrating Mailchimp

  • Updated

Connect your FareHarbor Dashboard with Mailchimp to automatically sync your customer and booking data. Once connected, FareHarbor bookings appear in Mailchimp under customer contacts, helping you create targeted, automated email campaigns.

This integration removes the need for manual data exports. Every new booking automatically updates your Mailchimp audience, so you can send personalized emails like follow-ups, promotions, and re-engagement campaigns with ease.

With the FareHarbor Mailchimp integration, the following data is sent from your FareHarbor Dashboard to Mailchimp:

  • Customer details
    • Name
    • Phone number
    • Email address
    • Opt-in status
  • Booking activity
    • Item name
    • Date
    • Booking ID

Mapping FareHarbor data to Mailchimp

Under your Mailchimp integration settings, select a Mailchimp store with which you’d like to sync your FareHarbor data. Your Mailchimp store and its products will appear in the mapping fields. If you have not yet created a Mailchimp store, you can create one within your FareHarbor Dashboard by clicking Create New Store.

Once you select your store, a table of FareHarbor Items and Mailchimp Products will appear below. If you don’t have any products in your Mailchimp store, you can create them directly in the FareHarbor Dashboard.

After selecting all items you’d like to map, click Save Mappings.

Note: Only FareHarbor items that are mapped to Mailchimp will send data from FareHarbor to Mailchimp.

Syncing booking data

After you’ve mapped your FareHarbor items to Mailchimp products, booking data will be automatically sent to your Mailchimp dashboard. Whether the booking was made directly online or from an affiliate, the book data will be synced to MailChimp.

Synced FareHarbor data can be found under Audience in your Mailchimp dashboard. In the Audience section, the following columns are visible:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Source (FareHarbor)

Note: Full names appear in the First Name column in the Contacts table in Mailchimp.

By clicking an email address in the Contacts table, you can view the Contact profile for that customer, which will display general contact information and a contact overview. In the Overview tab, you can find activity for this contact, including bookings made:

Click into the Order details to view the FareHarbor booking ID (listed in Mailchimp as the FareHarbor Tracking ID).

Product limitations

  • Only new bookings and customer data are synced. It is not currently possible to import historical bookings.
  • The FareHarbor Mailchimp integration currently only handles individual product types in a booking.
  • Event-based automation for abandoned bookings or rebooking campaigns is not currently available.
