Updating your business information

We advise checking if your business information is up-to-date regularly. If your information is up-to-date, no additional action is required.

Keeping your business information up-to-date is vital to ensure that invoices issued to you, and by you, contain accurate information. In addition, it's fundamental for “Know Your Customer” (KYC) regulations.

Your business information includes the following:

  • Your legal business name (if you are registered as a business)
  • Your business address
  • Your business tax ID
  • Business phone number
  • Business email address

Your billing information is stored in two locations:

  1. On your FareHarbor Dashboard.
  2. On your payment processor's website (Stripe or PayPal).

Updating your business information on FareHarbor

To view and, if needed, update your billing information on FareHarbor:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Info & Policies > Logo & Contact.
  2. Scroll down to Billing Information for Invoicing.

  3. Check if the information is up-to-date and if it matches the information on the payment processor's side. If you see any discrepancies, please update your information.
  4. Click on Save changes if any changes were made.

You can update your business information in Stripe by updating your customer verification information in the Payment Setup Checklist.

Updating your Stripe customer verification information

Updating your Stripe verification information is possible via the FareHarbor Dashboard.

To update your customer verification information for Stripe:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Bank & Payments.
  2. Locate the “Payment Setup Checklist” and click on Enter customer verification information.

    Note: Make sure that the Accept the Terms of Service step of the Payment Setup Checklist is completed first.

  3. Click Start to begin.

Once you begin, you will be taken to our payment processor’s secure portal to complete the verification process.

Please note that if the Payment Setup Checklist steps appear in green, this only means that the previously provided information was verified by Stripe. Any changes to your business information after this initial verification still need to be updated accordingly.

Updating your PayPal customer verification information

Please note that your PayPal customer verification information cannot be updated on the FareHarbor Dashboard. 

To update your customer verification information for PayPal:

  1. Log into your PayPal account.
  2. Review and, if needed, update your business information there.
