The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) went into effect on January 1st, 2020. To help you understand what this means as a business owner in the tour and activity industry, we’ve compiled some frequently asked questions below.
What is the CCPA?
A Californian law securing the right of Californians to know what personal information is being collected about them, to know whether their personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom, to say no to the sale of personal information, to access their personal information, and to equal service and price, even if they exercise their privacy rights.
What if a customer asks me for a copy of their data?
If a customer of yours that is a resident of California asks for a copy of their data or for their data to be deleted, as your data processor, we can help you comply with that request by following the steps outlined here.
