FareHarbor provides several ways to monitor resource assignments throughout the Dashboard. Depending on what you're trying to review, you can monitor resource usage from the Resources page, the Manifest, individual bookings, or an availability.
Use the monitoring view that best matches the information you're looking for.
Resource usage overview
Resource information appears in multiple areas of the Dashboard.
| If you want to... | Use... |
| Review overall resource availability | Uses |
| Review resource assignments for a specific day | Detailed Uses |
| Monitor operational assignments | Manifest |
| Review resources assigned to a booking | Bookings |
| Review resources assigned to an availability | Availability |
Each view presents the same underlying resource assignments from a different operational perspective.
View resource uses
The resource Uses page provides an overview of how a resource is being used over time, including its capacity, current resource uses, and any resource overrides.
To view resource uses:
- Navigate to Settings > Resources.
- Select the resource you want to review.
- Open Uses.
- Select Overview.
The overview displays:
- Resource capacity.
- Current resource uses.
- Resource overrides.
- Overall resource availability.
If the resource hasn't been assigned to future availabilities, FareHarbor displays a message indicating that no future resource uses are available.
Review detailed uses
The Detailed Uses view provides a day-specific view of a resource's assignments. Use this view when you need to review individual resource assignments for a specific date.
To review detailed uses:
- Navigate to Settings > Resources.
- Select a resource.
- Open Uses.
- Select Detailed Uses.
- Select the day you want to review.
Monitor resources with the Booking timeline
Use the Timeline to review resource uses and remaining capacity across a selected time period.
To view resources in the Timeline:
- Navigate to Bookings.
- Switch to the Timeline view.
- Open Setup.
- Select Resources as the timeline type.
- Configure the display options for the resource information you want to monitor.
From the Resources tab, you can:
- Show or hide resource uses and resource overrides.
- Group resource uses by item.
- Hide resources that don't have scheduled uses.
- Display resource capacity and remaining availability.
- Adjust the displayed time range.
These settings help you focus on the resource information that's most relevant to your operation while monitoring resource availability throughout the day.
Monitor resources from the Manifest
The Manifest provides an operational view of resource assignments for a selected day.
Use the Manifest to review which resources are assigned before or during daily operations.
Review all resources
To review all resources from the Manifest:
- Open the Manifest.
- Select the date you want to review.
- Group bookings by Resource to review the resource assignments shown for that day.
Recent improvements ensure that resource information remains synchronized when seat assignments change and restore resource headings throughout the Manifest.
Review specific resources
To review specific resources from the Manifest:
- Open the Manifest.
- Select the date you want to review.
- Filter by any specific resources you want to review.
Review resources from bookings
Bookings display the resources assigned to individual reservations.
Review resource assignments from a booking when you want to verify which resources have been reserved for a customer or determine whether resource assignments need to be updated.
Some resource assignments are managed automatically through custom field values. When a resource is created from a custom field requirement, it no longer appears in the booking overlay's resource list. Instead, update the associated custom field value to manage the assignment.
Review resources from an availability
You can also review resource assignments while viewing an individual availability.
To review resources from an availability:
- Open the Bookings calendar or an item's Availability Calendar.
- Select an availability.
- Select Actions & Settings.
- Open Capacity and resources from the availability settings, and select the Resources tab.
If resource requirement groups are changed for an availability, FareHarbor displays a Reapply resources reminder so existing bookings can be updated to reflect the new configuration.
FAQs & common issues
Why do I see different resource information in different parts of the Dashboard?
Each monitoring surface is designed for a different operational purpose. The Resources page focuses on individual resources, the Manifest provides a day-of-operation view, and bookings and availabilities show the resources assigned to a specific reservation or departure.
Why doesn't a custom-field resource appear on the booking?
Resources created from custom field requirements are managed through the associated custom field values instead of the booking overlay's resource list.
When should I use Detailed Uses instead of the resource Uses overview?
Use resource Uses to review overall capacity and availability. Use Detailed Uses when you need to examine assignments for a specific day.
Why don’t I see a resource in the Booking timeline view?
Open Setup > Resources and review the selected display options. If Hide resources that have no uses is enabled, resources without scheduled uses are not shown.
